Starbucks is adding Beyond Meat to its menus…but it isn’t going international quite yet. Where are they launching it?

Last month the world went wild when Starbucks added plant-based milks, including coconut and oat, to its menu. Following the introduction of these vegan treats, the coffee-chain is now incorporating vegan breakfast sandwiches made from Beyond Meat.

Last month the world went wild when Starbucks added plant-based milks, including coconut and oat, to its menu. Following the introduction of these vegan treats, the coffee-chain is now incorporating vegan breakfast sandwiches made from Beyond Meat.

However, don’t get too excited; it isn’t going international quite yet: just Canada locations for now, hitting over 1,2000 stores. The breakfast sandwich will include a Beyond Meat patty, cheddar cheese and an egg inside an artisan bun. The toppings mean it isn’t entirely “vegan friendly” but it’s a good start for those looking to cut down on their meat intake. Thanks to its flavours, the patty is still in line with traditional Starbucks flavours using herbs and spices such as oregano, basil and fennel.

This will be the first alt meat product that Starbucks will introduce to its consumers and if the Canadian launch sees success, we could be seeing these breakfast sandwiches all over the US – and maybe even worldwide..Where would you like to see them?
